California really started to play their best football towards the end of the season, and I think they are going to ride that momentum into the Holiday Bowl. The Golden Bears finished the regular season with three wins in their last four games, with the only loss coming at Stanford 28-31.

Offensively California has found a nice balance between junior quarterback Zach Maynard and junior running back Isi Sofele. Maynard threw for 2,802 yards and 17 touchdowns, while Sofele rushed for 1,270 yards and nine scores.

Texas has been up and down all season, and I think a lot of people are overrating their defense coming into this game. The Longhorns only gave up 1.1 fewer ppg than Cal this season.
