A lot of people will simply take the 2.5-points in this spot, especially since Kansas beat Ohio State 78-67 earlier this season. I'm not falling for it. Ohio State was without their best player in Jared Sullinger. This Ohio State team has really peaked at the right time. After cruising past Loyola MD in the first round, they crushed Gonzaga, Cincinnati, and Syracuse. If it wasn't for North Carolina losing their starting point guard, Kansas wouldn't even be in the Final Four.
In the Jayhawks win over Ohio State earlier this season, Thomas Robinson had 21 points and 7 rebounds. With Sullinger playing this time, I look for Robinson to have a much quieter game offensively. Overall, Ohio State matches up extremely well with Kansas. I believe they are favored in this game because oddsmakers truly consider them to be the better team.
Kansas has had a pretty fortunate run to the final four, yet they haven't been all that impressive. Kansas barely held on for a 63-60 win over No. 10 seed Purdue (a team Ohio State beat in the Big Ten tournament by 17-points), edged out No. 11 NC State 60-57, and barely beat North Carolina without their most important player. BET OHIO STATE!
