Today's winner is Iowa State over Connecticut. This is my 100 Star Winner.

The Cyclones are a true battle-tested team. Iowa State took down Texas, Kansas, Baylor, and Kansas State twice this season. Remember that this is a team that went from last in the Big 12 in 2011 to third this season. Pride, confidence, and solid coaching is a big part of the team's success. Royce White is a stud. The Forward averages 13.1 PPG and 9.2 RPG. White commands a lot of respect. But when teams do adjust and double-team him, ISU eats them up alive from the outside. Ironic, because the Cyclones are phenomenal defending the perimeter, as they allow a mere 29.8% from 3-point land. They go up against a UConn squad that is severely missing the talent and leadership of Kemba Walker. The Huskies are horrible defending long-range shooting. They will get exploited by the Cyclones sharp-shooters, Chistopherson and McGee, who both hit over 40% from beyond the arc.
