Love this play. I watched with great interest on 2 separate occasions when Wyoming played Nebraska and then Air Force. Their head coach is accustomed to big games and bowl games as the offensive coordinator for Missouri for numerous years. Wyoming has the best QB in this game bar none in Brett Smith with over 2490 yards, 18 TD passes and just 8 picks. He was second team all American choice as a true freshman. Bear in mind QBs that this head coach has nurtured, Chase Daniels, Brad Smith, Blaine Gabberts first year all from Mizzou in his recent past. He knows how to coach them up. Temple is QB by committee it seems with no QB over 3 TD passes all year, unreal. , and a solid all around team. Wyoming is great on the road and since Dave Christensen took over the helm he is 13-3 ATS in 16 roadies. Temples ground attack one of the better ones around with a dual threat tandem, but Wyoming has faced tough running attacks and stayed tight in games against Nebraska and others. The ability to stretch the field for one team and not the for the other with a one dimensional offense is key. I see Wyoming with a shot to win this, regardless of the run defense ranking, as the pass happy Mountain West Conference rushing numbers are skewed. Wyoming rushed the ball for 196 yards per game in their last 3 games and Temple is not great stop unit on the ground themselves. Temples’ biggest win of the season? Maryland. Really?
