3* NFC West SMASH on Cardinals +4
The Cardinals, who have some nice momentum on their side following back-to-back wins, want a piece of the 49ers in the worst possible way. San Francisco has won the last 5 in this series and that's not sitting well with the Cards.
The Niners won the first meeting 23-7, but starting QB Kevin Kolb didn't play in that game. With John Skelton and Richard Bartel getting the snaps, the Cards committed 5 turnovers in that contest. With Kolb back under center and off a confidence-boosting performance, the Cards will be able to do a better job of taking care of the football and pose much more of a threat through the air in this one.
The 49ers are just 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games as a road favorite. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog, 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games as a home underdog and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games as a home underdog of 3.5-10.0 points.
In addition, the Cards are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 home games vs. good offensive teams scoring 24 or more points per game and 15-4 ATS in their last 19 games vs. very good defensive teams who give up 14 or less points per game. Look for Arizona to give SF all it can handle and more.
