On Tuesday the NBA Power Side is on the Indiana Pacers. Game 702 at 7:05 eastern. The Pacers fit a Rare system here tonight. We want to play on home favorites of 5 or more with a total of 180 or higher that scored 90 or less as a home favorite and shot 45% or less vs an opponent that scored 90 or less in a road game where the line was -3 to +3. These home teams are 6-0 straight up and ats since 1995 and win by an average score of 94-78. That alone however is not enough for me to lay it tonight. However has I dig into the database I see that this season road teams with a total of 190 or more that scored 90 or less on the road and have no rest are 1-9 straight up and ats and are losing by a 10-4-90 score I become more interested. Then I take to the team angles and see that the Pacers are 4-0 straight up and ats off a favored loss, while Utah is 0-5 straight up and ats on the road with no rest off a road game, Now we have a worth play as we have systems and all the angles covered. The Jazz are a solid home team but on the road they are not. They lost to a Knicks team last night that got 2 points in the first quarter from Carmelo Anthony and a DNP from Amare Stoudamire and still lost by 11 to an average Knicks team. Now they catch the Pacers with 2 days rest off a dismal effort. Look for the Pacers to get the win and cover here tonight.
On Tuesday the NHL Play is on the St. Louis Blues. Game 13 at 7:05 eastern. The Blues take the 2nd Best defense in the league to take on an Ottawa team that has the 3rd Worst defense in the league. St. Louis has won 9 of 13 in the second half and 13 of 16 this season vs teams under .500. They have also won 7 of the last 11 after scoring 1 or less goal and are 9-2 in non conference games. The Senators are just 3-8 after scoring 1 or less goal in their last game and have lost 6 straight games. In a battle of two teams heading in different directions we will back the road warrior St. Blues tonight.
