There is no question that the Heat are the better team, but I have a hard time seeing Miami getting excited to play the 4-16 Hornets, especially after such a big win at home over the Bulls last night. While the media isn't hounding the Heat like they did a year ago, I still think there is a lot of hate headed towards the Heat. Opposing teams seem to lay it on the line to beat this team, which is exactly what I expect New Orleans to do tonight.
I wouldn't read too much into the Hornets 72-94 loss at home to Hawks last night, there's a pretty good chance they were looking ahead to this game. While the Hornets have struggled to win, they have kept games close. In fact, you have to go back to Jan. 7 to find a game where the Hornets lost by more than 10-points.
Miami is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite of 11.0 or greater, while New Orleans is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games as a road underdog of 11.0 or greater and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.BET THE HORNETS!
