Red Wings +112

The Detroit Red Wings host the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon. Detroit is coming off a 2-1 shootout win over San Jose, while Chicago was victorious in their last outing, but needed overtime to get past Columbus, 4-3.

The Red Wings were slow out of the gate as they adjusted to playing without Nicklas Lidstrom, and the typically consistent franchise is finally beginning to right the ship, winning three of their last four games.

The Wings have outscored their last two opponents at Joe Louis Arena by a score of 12-3. Captain Henrik Zetterberg has averaged nearly a point per game in his career against the Blackhawks.

While the headlines from Chicago’s recent games against Columbus and Edmonton show that Chicago was able to continue their streak, a closer look shows that the Blackhawks were actually out-played by a lousy Blue Jackets team on Monday, getting outshot 28-27 by a Columbus team that they ordinarily dominate, then needed overtime to get past the 13th-place Oilers, then needed overtime again to sneak past Columbus on Friday. The Blackhawks’ streak is still intact, but they’re holding their sticks a little too tightly.

The Red Wings have won three of their last four games overall. Take Detroit.

Good Luck, Razor Ray
