Winnipeg & Washington under 5.5
The Winnipeg Jets host the Washington Capitals on Thursday. Winnipeg is coming off a 3-1 win over New Jersey, while Washington dropped their last game to Philadelphia, 4-1.
Winnipeg will not have to worry too much about their goaltending situation in this one. Starting netminder Ondrej Pavelec has posted a 1.58 GAA over his last 10 starts against Washington. He should continue that success on this night as the Capitals have scored only twice in their last two road contests.
The Jets have not been racking up goals the way they did a year ago, and their struggling power play is largely to blame. Winnipeg has converted only once with the man advantage in 29 tries over their last 11 games.
Washington’s offense crashed back down to Earth on Wednesday at the hands of the Flyers. The team had scored eight goals over a two-game span, but were held to just a single marker in Philadelphia.
The loss also ended a point-streak for Alexander Ovechkin, who was held pointless on six shots.
The under is 3-0 in three meetings between these teams at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.
The under is 6-0 in Winnipeg’s last 6 home games. Take the UNDER.
Good Luck, Razor Ray
