Taking NORFOLK STATE here. Uh. When I see top teams in conference giving small numbers like this, I normally go the other way. 2 things keep me from Hampton here. 1. This isn't a power conference or even a mid-major. So the talent is what it is. This isn't like Syracuse-Rutgers or something along those lines. And 2. Hampton can't shoot. I can't back teams that as a team can't hit 40% of their shots. Hampton is barely at 39% from the field and a terrible 25% from 3. And 65% from the charity stripe. Norfolk is sitting undefeated in conference play, but have just a 1 game. They can't afford to be looking past anyone. Hampton is 7-3 in conference so the Spartans know that Hampton can win a little.
