The Memphis Grizzlies host the Golden State Warriors on Friday. Memphis is coming off a 103-92 loss to Atlanta, while Golden State dropped their last game against Oklahoma City, 119-98.

We cashed a ticket by fading the Grizzlies on Wednesday, and we’ll go right back to that well for this one. The leadership group in Memphis questioned the move that sent Rudy Gay out of town, and so it’s not surprising to see the team struggle in the wake of that move.

The Grizzlies have had trouble finding the 17.2 points per game Gay took with him when he left town, averaging only 89.0 points in their four games since the trade.

Defense has been an issue as well, as the Grizzlies have allowed their last four opponents to shoot 49.3 percent from the field. Memphis has lost three of those four games.

Golden State’s dropped their last two games, but in those games they played a red-hot Houston team, and the class of the Western Conference, Oklahoma City, on their home court. Prior to that game the Warriors had won four straight.
