The Michigan Wolverines are coming off a tough loss at Indiana on Saturday night. Indiana is now the number one ranked team in the country, and Michigan certainly didn’t play bad basketball in that game.

The Wolverines just walked into a very tough environment, and they couldn’t quite bounce back from a slow start.

Michigan was down 29-8 in the first half earlier this year against Ohio State, but they battled back to tie it up. They had a shot to win the game in the last few seconds, but they ended up losing 56-53 in Columbus.

No doubt this is a game that Michigan has had circled on their schedule for quite a while. While the basketball rivalry isn’t anything like the football rivalry, these teams definitely don’t like each other.

Michigan hasn’t had much success against Ohio State of late, and this team wants nothing more than to put up a beating on the Buckeyes.

Ohio State is a good team, but they are far from great this year. The Buckeyes have one of the best scorers in the nation in Deshaun Thomas, but no one else on the team scores consistently.

Ohio State has had some real trouble scoring in the halfcourt against the top teams in the country.

Michigan has plenty of scoring options, and that should be the difference here. Trey Burke has tons of options around him this year. Nick Stauskas, Glenn Robinson Jr., and Tim Hardaway Jr. are all having terrific seasons.

Expect Michigan to come out extremely fired up. I think they overwhelm Ohio State in this one. Michigan is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against teams with a winning road record.
