The Kansas State Wildcats are a much better defensive team this year. Bruce Weber’s teams at Illinois were always good on the defensive end, and it looks like Kansas State is buying into his system as well. Weber’s teams typically slow the game down on offense, and that has begun to happen of late with the Wildcats.

TCU has a new coach this year as well in Trent Johnson. Johnson has the Horned Frogs playing terrific defense this year. It’s a good thing for them that they are playing good defense, because their offense is horrific. TCU is averaging only 53.9 points per game on offense. The Horned Frogs have been held below 50 points in four of their last eight games.

While a total this low is never an easy ‘under’ pick, I do believe it is the best value here. The under is 7-1 in Kansas State’s last 8 Wednesday games. The under is 4-1 in Kansas State’s last 5 road games. The under is 4-0 in TCU’s last 4 games. Take under.
