Score: 72 - 65
Point Spread: -8/-110 Virginia Commonwealth
The VCU Rams are all about their “havoc” defense.
Shaka Smart’s team forces the opposition to play a style of game that they simply aren’t comfortable playing.
VCU forces more turnovers than any team in all of college basketball.
St. Bonaventure started the season out pretty well, but the Bonnies have really fallen apart of late.
They have lost four straight, and all four of those losses have been by at least 19 points. Now, they’ll be playing one of the best teams they have played all year.
VCU is 13-3 on the year, and their three losses have come to Duke, Wichita State, and Missouri. The Rams have been dominating middle-of-the-road opponents like St. Bonaventure.
There are several guys on this Rams team that are capable of putting up big numbers offensively, and I think they’ll find plenty of open looks in this one against a subpar St. Bonnie defense.
VCU is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games against the A10 Conference.
St. Bonaventure is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. Take VCU in this one.
