Friday's winner is San Antonio over Memphis. This is my FCP Play.
San Antonio has taken 5 in a row over Memphis, going 4-1 ATS. The Spurs beat the Grizzlies in OT, 99-95 on December 1st. As of print, San Antonio (28-10) leads Memphis (23-10) by 2 1/2 games in the South West. The Spurs are red-hot, winning 9 of their L11 SU while the Grizzlies took three straight over the Suns, Kings, and Warriors (two of which are among the worst teams in the West). San Antonio's "O" posts 104.9 PPG as they face a Memphis "D" that yields only 89.1 PPG. Memphis is a solid home team (13-4) but San Antonio leads the NBA away from home with a 13-8 road mark. Zach Randolph has 23 double-double's TY, averaging 12 RPG, and 16.9 PPG but has had his problems when facing the Spurs. Randolph averaged just 10 points on 38.9% shooting against San Antonio in their two meetings a year ago. In the first meeting this season, he was a dismal 5-for-21 from the field. Parker and Duncan combined for 57 points and 19 boards in the December game. Seven players are either flirting with or averaging DDs for SA. But the key is the fact that they hardly ever turn the ball over. They wear opposing teams down and force them to make the mistakes. The Spurs will spank the Grizzlies. Take San Antonio. Thank you.
