Joe D'Amico's NFL AFC Divisional Playoff Game of the Year
Baltimore vs. Denver, 01/12/2013 16:30 EDT, Score: 38 - 35
Point Spread: -9½/-105 Denver
Sportsbook: 5Dimes
Result: Loss
Saturday's winner is Denver over Baltimore. This is my AFC Divisional Playoff Game of the Year.
Denver thumped Baltimore, 34-17 on December 16th. The Ravens lost 4 of their L6 both SU and ATS. The once-feared Baltimore stop-unit just isn't ferocious anymore. They allow opposing offenses to control the clock. On offense, Joe Flacco has been shaky and was downright bad in the first Denver meeting. Ray Rice ran for only 38 yards in that game and LW, the RB fumbled twice. The Broncos are riding an 11 game win streak, going 8-3 ATS. In 9 of those 11 contests, Denver posted 30 or more points on "O" and haven't allowed more than 23 points on "D" in 10 straight games. Their defense has 52 sacks, their LB corps is quick, and their secondary plays tight and forces opposing QBs to force passes and make costly mistakes. Peyton Manning has also won 9 straight as a starter over Baltimore. The Ravens "D" can't stop Moreno's legs or Thomas and Decker's hands. The Favorite is 4-0 ATS the L4 meetings between these two teams. The Ravens are 1-5 ATS their L6 Divisional Playoff games while the Broncos are 6-1 ATS their L7 Playoff games played at home. Take Denver. Thank you.
