The Red Wolves are one of the most underrated teams in the country because they play in the Sun Belt Conference. Arkansas State defended their conference title this season, despite losing a very good head coach in Hugh Freeze to Ole Miss. That really says a lot about the talent and the job that Gus Malzahn did this year. Unfortunately for the Red Wolves, Malzahn left to take over at Auburn. That loss won't have as big of an impact as many would think. Arkansas State has a lot of senior leaders on their team that will make sure they stay focused.

Staying focused was probably a bit of a hard thing for Kent State. The Golden Flashes lost to Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship Game. Had they won the title, there's a pretty good chance they would have been the ones playing Florida State in the Orange Bowl. Pretty big difference from playing an ACC powerhouse and the winner of what most consider to be the worst conference in the FBS. I'll take the more motivated Red Wolves in this matchup!
