This is the perfect spot to jump on the Chiefs and the points in a game that will be a lot closer than what most people expect. The public was going to be backing the Steelers no matter what in this game, which has allowed the oddsmakers to inflate the line to a point where you simply can't pass it up.

All the Chiefs have heard is how bad they are and how they are one of the worst teams in the NFL. That may be the case, but I expect this team to play inspired football on ESPN. Kansas City's last game was on national TV against the Chargers on Thursday night. That game certainly didn't go as expected, but it has allowed the Chiefs an extra three days to prepare for this game.

Head coach Romeo Crennel fired himself as defensive coordinator, and i look for the team to play inspired football under Garry Gibbs. They also got rid of cornerback Stanford Routt, who hurt this team more on the field than he did when he was off it.

There are a couple other keys that really have me liking Kansas City. Former chiefs head coach Todd Haley (just last season), is the Steelers offensive coordinator. A lot of the Chiefs defensive players are back from a year ago, and they should have a pretty good idea of what Haley likes to call offensively and most importantly how to stop it.

You also have to factor in that the Steelers will likely be looking ahead to next week's huge home game against the Ravens. I can't see this team putting everything on the line against a team as bad as Kansas City, when they have to turnaround in six days and play Baltimore! BET THE CHIEFS!
