Florida State is one of the better balanced teams in college football this year and they are the only team in the nation ranked in the top 10 in offense (7th at 524.5 yards per game) and defense (1st at 227.1 yards per game). These two have a storied history as the Seminoles defeated Virginia Tech for the 2000 national title and they also won in the first ACC title game in 2005.
