It's hard to believe this Western Kentucky team was just 2-10 in 2010. Head coach Willie Taggart has done an amazing job of turning this into a legit program. The Hilltoppers went 7-1 inside the Sun Belt last year, with their only loss coming at home to Ark St 22-26. Ark St would go on to win the conference with a perfect 8-0 record.

Coming that close to winning something like a conference championship can sometimes light a fire under a team to make sure they get the job done the next season. That's exactly what I see taking place in Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers got their revenge against Ark St, beating the Red Wolves 26-13.

This team knows they can't overlook Troy, even after watching the Trojans lose at home to Louisiana-Lafayette 24-37. While the Hilltoppers crushed Troy 41-18 at home last year, a lot of these players will remember going on the road and losing to Troy by two touchdowns in 2010.
