Inexperience at the quarterback spot definitely has quite a bit to do with it. Eastern Michigan's offense ranks 121st out of 124 teams in the nation in total yards per game. They are averaging just 15.8 points per game. On the other side of the ball, Eastern Michigan's defense is dead last in the nation in rushing defense right now. They are allowing a ridiculous 301.5 yards per game on the ground. Kent State has two very good running backs who should exploit that weakness. I like what coach Darrell Hazell is doing at Kent State. The Golden Flashes have a good front seven, and since Eastern Michigan really can't throw the ball much at all, that should give Kent State the edge on defense as well.
