St. Louis beat Houston 6-1 yesterday and I suspect the Houston offense will have more success today. Bear in mind that Garcia just faced this team on 9/20 and helped his team win 5-4 as he gave up 3 runs on 6 innings. It is very difficult for a pitcher to come back within a week basically of that start and still put together another effective effort and defeat a team. This is the same Houston team he gave up 6 runs to in two innings back on June 5th earlier in the year. Harrell pitched well against St. Louis in his last effort where he gave up 3 runs in just under 6 innings but the Astros couldn't get any run support as they ended up losing that game 0-5. Having said that, I like the Cardinals to still do well against Harrell although he has revenge. In essence, I think Houston will have a much better game today which will force St. Louis to get their bats going in the middle innings. The Over is 13-2-1 when Garcia is a favorite by this margin on the road and the Over is 7-3-1 when the Astros are an underdog by this margin at home.
