College Football Betting Preview
Penn State (6-0) at Wisconsin (3-2)
Saturday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: Penn State  -  5  ,  Total  47

The Wisconsin Badgers will try and avoid starting 0-3 in the Big 10 as they host 6th ranked Penn State on Saturday night.  To get the win the Badgers will have to slow down the Big Ten’s best offense.  The Nittany Lions are averaging almost 500 yards per game, 9th best in the nation.  They are scoring 44.8 points per game which ranks 7th in the country.  Quarterback Daryll Clark has thrown 9 touchdowns with only one interception this season while running back Evan Royster has eight touchdowns this season.

“They’re a great team and they have a great quarterback, a great corps of receivers that can run,” Wisconsin cornerback Allen Langford said. “They have a great tight end and two good running backs … so they’re definitely going to be a difficult task.”
SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Penn State  on the Road.

The Badgers have not had much luck this season, losing 27-25 at Michigan and then last week 20-17 to Ohio State. “The expectations are high on this team, and we’d like them to be high,” Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema said. “And we’re five points away from being a 5-0 football team. We’ve got a tremendous challenge on our hands and an opportunity to right the ship.”

#10 Wisconsin at #21 Fresno State
Saturday, 10:30 pm Eastern – ESPN 2

SBG Global Opening Line: Wisconsin  -  1.5  ,  Total  44

One of the best games on Saturday might be the one that begins the latest as #21 Fresno State hosts #10 Wisconsin. The Badgers have had two easy wins at home against cupcakes while Fresno State opened with an impressive win at Rutgers.  Saturday’s game should prove which team is for real. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Wisconsin on the Road.

Last week Wisconsin quarterback Allan Evridge passed for 308 yards and a touchdown in the 51-14 win over Marshall.  The Badgers are normally known for running the ball with P.J. Hill but they have now proven they can run and throw. “It shows that we’re a very balanced offense and we can do both,” said Evridge, “But I think as a unit we always knew that we could throw the ball.”  Wisconsin will be hoping to get tight end Travis Beckum back in the lineup on Saturday.  He has missed the first two games due to a hamstring injury.

Fresno State has been a good home team under Pat Hill going 51-12.  This is the highest ranked team to ever visit Fresno State, tying #10 Oregon State who visited in 2001.  Fresno won that game against Oregon State 44-24.  Head coach Pat Hill is calling Saturday’s game against Wisconsin the biggest in the history of the school.  It might be tough for the Bulldogs considering Wisconsin has won 26 of its last 27 regular season non-conference games including 7 straight on the road.

Here are the College Football betting stats for Saturday’s game. The Badgers are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 games in September. The Badgers are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games. The Badgers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games.

SBG Global Current Line: Wisconsin  -  2 ,  Total  44

The Bulldogs are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in September. The Bulldogs are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games.

The Over is 5-1 in the Badgers last 6 games overall. The Under is 9-4 in the Badgers last 13 non-conference games. The Over is 4-1 in the Bulldogs last 5 non-conference games. The Under is 5-2 in the Bulldogs last 7 games on grass. The Under is 5-2 in the Bulldogs last 7 home games.
