2009 U.S Open Betting Preview

The United States Open will return to Bethpage Black in New York for the 2nd major of the season in a mere few weeks. Tiger Woods is the defending U.S Open Champion when the tour last visited Bethpage Black back in 2002. The 2002 U.S Open was among one of the most difficult U.S Open’s in recent memory as Woods was the only player to finish the tournament under par. The 2009 U.S Open has all the makings to be another difficult venue for the top golfers in the world. Bethpage Black has undergone some physical changes for this year’s major. The course has been lengthened to 7,496 yards making it the 2nd longest major in U.S Open history. The greens have been reshaped to give what golfers a risk/reward type approaches. Other than the excitement of returning to a difficult golf course, the main question surrounding the 2009 U.S Open is will Tiger Woods win his 2nd straight U.S Open backing up the brilliant performance last year at Torrey Pines.
