Miami Dolphins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preseason Pick

The spotlight on Thursday night will be on the quarterback battle in Tampa Bay between Byron Leftwich and Luke McCown. Head coach Raheem Morris has not said which player will get the starting job but what is clear is that Thursday’s game could be the deciding factor.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons Pick and Preview

Two teams battling for a playoff spot in the very competitive NFC South meet in Atlanta on Sunday as the Falcons host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams are coming off losses last week but each team can still make the playoffs. The Bucs are a game behind Carolina in the division and could clinch a playoff spot with a win against Atlanta and a loss by either Dallas or Philadelphia. The Falcons are a game back of the Bucs and they understand that a win against the Bucs is a necessity after losing last week to the Saints.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys Pick and Preview

The Dallas Cowboys were thought of as Super Bowl contenders with Tony Romo at quarterback. Without him they may not even be a playoff team. The Cowboys will be without Romo until mid-November so it is up to backup quarterback Brad Johnson to lead the offense until Romo returns. The Cowboys were humiliated last week against the Rams and Johnson did not play well, throwing three interceptions. It may not get any easier for Johnson against a Tampa defense that is second in the league with 12 interceptions.

Seattle Seahawks at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pick and Preview

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to add to the misery of the Seattle Seahawks season as they host them on Sunday night. The Seahawks have done very little right this season and will be missing quarterback Matt Hasselbeck again on Sunday. The Bucs are also missing their starting quarterback but Jeff Garcia was the starter last season and the Bucs didn’t miss a beat last week with Garcia at the helm.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The 2008 Carolina Panthers are starting to look at lot like the 2003 team that went to the Super Bowl. Seven of the 24 starters remain from that team including quarterback Jake Delhomme and receiver Steve Smith. The one area that might be better this season for Carolina is the defense. The Panthers are 4th in the NFL in total defense this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos Pick and Preview

One of the more entertaining games on Sunday could be in Denver as the high scoring Broncos host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Broncos offense has bailed them out in most games but it couldn’t do enough last week in the loss to Kansas City. The Broncos rank 30th in the league in yards allowed and 31st in points allowed.

New England Patriots at Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFLX Pick and Preview

The New England Patriots will play their second preseason game of the year on Sunday night in Tampa Bay and they will look to play much better than they did a week ago in their home loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Tom Brady was held out last week and his backups were awful in the loss. Brady should see his first action of the season on Sunday. Reports have him playing at least the first quarter against the Bucs.
