NCAA Tournament Elite Eight Betting Preview Betus.com betting line – North Carolina -6.5, O/U 164 Two of the most prominent teams from the regular season will take center court on Sunday afternoon in a big Elite Eight match-up. The North Carolina Tarheels are among all four remaining number one seeded teams who have yet to be beaten in the NCAA Tournament. However, they will take on the Oklahoma Sooners who have been playing extremely well this Sunday in a fight to determine who moves on to the Final Four. Both teams enter the game coming off impressive performances in the sweet sixteen. North Carolina took down Gonzaga by 21 points while Oklahoma took down Syracuse 84-71. The Tarheels have long been considered the most talented team in America, but they will take on what most consider the best player in America that is Blake Griffin and the Sooners. Will Griffin make another marvelous performance to take down the Tarheels or will North Carolina’s star studded lineup be too much to handle? The game within the game will highlight two of the best players to step on a college basketball court in quite some time. Former Player of the Year winner Tyler Hansbrough is the ACC’s all-time leading scorer from the conference that produced the names Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, and more. Hansbrough will be in a classic battle with Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin who will likely win this year’s Player of the Year award. Hansbrough has been the leading weapon on offense this year for the Tarheels who are among the best scoring offense in the country averaging 93 points per game. Hansbrough has posted a healthy 21.3 scoring average this season while pulling down 8 rebounds per game as well. However, Hansbrough is just the tip of the iceberg considering North Carolina has countless weapons on offense. The guard play has really giving all competitors too much they can handle. Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington have been superb all season posting 16 points per game averages. These 3 standouts combined for 62 points in their victory over Gonzaga and they will probably place a big influence for their outcome against Oklahoma. Oklahoma struggled to end the regular season after dominating most of the year. However, those struggles have been nothing but a forgotten memory for the Sooner nation. Oklahoma has come out playing very well in the tournament and has yet to be seriously challenged. The Sooners success has fallen in the shadow of the play of superstar Blake Griffin. Griffin has averaged 30 points and 15 rebounds per game throughout tournament play which is simply incredible. The rebounds and the scoring have played huge dividends for the Sooners success and it will be interesting to see if North Carolina has anything to slow down the extremely talented sophomore. However, Oklahoma will need more help from the rest of the team now more than ever to keep up with the Tarheels scoring offense. Willie Warren has been one of the most impressive freshmen guards in the nation averaging 15 points per game this season. Also, junior Tony Crocker blasted 28 points which was well over his season average against Syracuse on Friday night. These two guards along with forward Taylor Griffin will need a strong collective effort to take down the extremely talented Tarheels in march to the Final Four this Sunday. Betting Trends.. Pick- North Carolina wins convincingly

NCAA Betting Preview Bookmaker.com betting line – The No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners felt the importance of losing their superstar forward Blake Griffin after losing two straight games to both Kansas and Texas. However, Griffin has returned to play and the Sooners will try to get back the swagger they have carried all season. The No. 15 Missouri Tigers are most probably what many consider the surprise team of the conference. The Tigers had a legitimate shot at winning the Big 12 outright before getting blown out by Kansas on Sunday 90-65. However, the Tigers can still deliver another surprising performance if they could find a way to take down Blake Griffin and the Oklahoma Sooners this Wednesday night. Missouri has played extremely well against Oklahoma over the last few years and will get to host the event where they are a perfect 17-0 this season at home. The Tigers have won the last 5 of 7 games over Oklahoma. Missouri had nearly sneaked into the Big 12 regular season title picture, but those hopes quickly vanished in a poor performance against Kansas. Missouri has now put together wins in 11 of their last 13 games and a respectable ranking inside the top 25. DeMarre Carroll is been the leading scorer for Missouri this season averaging a solid 17 points per game. Leo Lyons has also been stellar for the Tigers supporting with 14 points per game as both forwards pose a dangerous threat on the inside. However, the Tigers will need a big effort from the entire team to take down the Sooners in upset fashion this Wednesday. Oklahoma superstar Blake Griffin returned to the court after missing two games with a concussion. Griffin posted 20 points and 19 rebounds in his night back to lead the Sooners over Texas Tech 78-63. Griffin is tied for first in the NCAA in rebounds pulling down 13.9 boards per game this season. When Griffin has been healthy, Oklahoma has been stellar and they have a good shot at earning one of the number 1 seeds for the NCAA Tournament barring any upsets. The Sooners also have a sporty pair of guards to add to the scoring attack. Freshmen sensation Willie Warren has posted 15.1 points this season while junior Tony Crocker also has averaged double figures with 10 points per game. Oklahoma will look to cap off the season on strong terms and possibly get some vengeance in the Big 12 Tournament set for next week. What to watch for… Blake Griffin against the boards will be the key aspect to watch. The Sooners were out rebounded against Kansas and equal against the boards against Texas. Considering, Missouri does not have an excellent rebounding team, Oklahoma should have a big advantage on the glass. The Sooners have yet to lose a game this season where they have had more than 2 rebounds over their opponent and that will likely be the case again this Wednesday night. Pick – Oklahoma

College Football Betting Preview SBG Global Opening Line: Oklahoma - 7 , Total 72 Third-ranked Oklahoma will try and move up in the BCS standings on Saturday as they play at rival Oklahoma State. With a win against the Cowboys, the Sooners would almost assuredly get a spot in next week’s Big 12 title game against Missouri. If they would go on to beat the Tigers they would probably then play in the BCS National Championship game. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Oklahoma on the Road. The BCS standings may be a little tough to understand but there is no doubt that Oklahoma is playing as well as anyone in the country. They have scored more than 60 points in their last three games. Quarterback Sam Bradford is now a serious contender for the Heisman Trophy as he has thrown for 3,710 yards and 42 touchdown passes this season. The running game of the Sooners with DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown looks great and even the Sooners defense is playing well. Oklahoma may need to be firing on all cylinders to win at Stillwater against a very talented Oklahoma State team. “I think they know that they just can’t come in here and manhandle us and we know that we have just as good a chance of winning as they do now, so it isn’t as one-sided and it makes for a better game,” Oklahoma State fullback Bryant Ward said. “We both come in more ready to play, we both prepare harder and I think it gives a better show.” Oklahoma State has only two losses on the season and those were to Texas and Texas Tech. The question on Saturday will be whether or not the Cowboys offense can keep pace with the high powered attack of the Sooners. Running back Kendall Hunter has 1,434 yards overall and leads the Big 12 in rushing. Last year Hunter was held in check as the Cowboys lost to the Sooners. Oklahoma leads the all-time series against Oklahoma State 78-17-7. Here are more College Football betting stats for Saturday’s game. The Sooners are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November. The Sooners are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 conference games. The Sooners are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Sooners are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings at Oklahoma State. Both teams are unbeaten, have excellent coaches, and superstar players. The Sooners are led by preseason Big 12 player of the year Blake Griffin, who is averaging 27.2 points and 18.8 rebounds per game. Purdue is led by E’Twaun Moore and Robbie Hummel. The Sooners rely upon Griffin for the bulk of their scoring while Purdue is more balanced. “We all look for each other. We don’t feel like one person is the man or one person is above one another,” Moore said, “We look for our open teammates and make a pass.” “They’re really good,” Oklahoma head coach Jeff Capel said about Purdue. “I got a chance to watch them earlier. They’re so well coached, they’re disciplined, they’re physical, they have such good guards.” Oklahoma is also very good, specifically Griffin who may be the best player in the country. “Oklahoma, they’re definitely a good team,” said Purdue guard Keaton Grant. “There’s not another Blake Griffin in the NCAA. There’s only one of him in the United States, so it’ll definitely be a great challenge playing against them. We look forward to it.” Here are the College Basketball betting stats for Friday’s game. The Sooners are coming off an emotional loss last week to Texas so they will have to refocus for a very talented Kansas squad. The Sooners only dropped to #4 in the polls so they are still very much in the National title picture. “It’s always disappointing to invest so much and you end up losing,” Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. “But in the end, I think everyone realizes, if you watch everyone else play, it isn’t that easy to go undefeated at all.” SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Oklahoma at Home.
