Western Michigan at Ball State Pick and Preview
Ball State will try and complete their unbeaten regular season as they host Western Michigan in a key MAC game on Tuesday. This college football betting matchup can be seen on ESPN 2.
Florida State at Maryland Pick and Preview
Two of the top teams in the ACC get together in what should be a great Saturday night ESPN game. Maryland is ranked 22nd in the country and can clinch the ACC title with a win against Florida State and a win next week against Boston College. The Terrapins are 6-0 at home this season thanks in large part to quarterback Chris Turner. He has thrown for 967 yards and six touchdowns at home this season. He gets support in the running game from Da’Rel Scott who has 897 yards rushing and six touchdowns.
BYU at Utah Pick and Preview
One of the biggest games in the history of a great rivalry takes place on Saturday as unbeaten and 8th ranked Utah hosts once beaten BYU who is ranked 16th. While BYU can earn a share of the Mountain West title with a win, Utah can make it to a BCS bowl game with a victory. The Cougars and Utes have met 89 times in a storied rivalry.
Michigan State at Penn State Pick and Preview
Penn State hosts Michigan State on Saturday with a trip to the Rose Bowl on the line. The Nittany Lions are 6-1 in the Big 10 and with a win will clinch the Big 10 title and a trip to Pasadena. Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State all have 6-1 records in the conference but the Nittany Lions have already beaten the Buckeyes so a win against the Spartans would put them in the Rose Bowl. For Michigan State to win the title they would have to upset Penn State and then have Michigan upset Ohio State. Their chances of upsetting the Nittany Lions are probably better than having a terrible Michigan team upset the Buckeyes.
Miami-Florida at Georgia Tech Pick and Preview
Miami of Florida has moved into the Top 25 for the first time in more than two years but to stay there they will have to win at Georgia Tech on Thursday. If the Hurricanes can upset the Yellow Jackets they would virtually clinch the ACC Coastal Division since all they would then need is a win against last place NC State next week. Miami is not getting ahead of themselves though.
Mississippi State at Alabama Pick and Preview
Top Ranked Alabama will look to remain unbeaten as they host Mississippi State on Saturday. The Tide did not play well against the Bulldogs last year but the two teams are vastly different this season. Mississippi State is just playing out the string while the Crimson Tide are playing for a national title.
South Carolina at Florida Pick and Preview
The Florida Gators will look to continue their march to the National Championship game as they host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday. Florida is ranked #3 in the country but if they win their remaining games this season and then the SEC Championship game against Alabama they will play in the BCS Championship game. Florida will be facing a South Carolina team on Saturday that has won six of their last seven.
Boston College at Florida State Pick and Preview
Florida State will look to stay atop the ACC standings as they host Boston College on Saturday. The Seminoles have been winning because of their strong running attack that is averaging 205.2 yards per game. “It’s amazed me that we’ve been able to run the numbers we have,” coach Bobby Bowden said. “It’s amazed me. But I sure hope we keep it up because it’s probably a very big key on that offense, no doubt about it.”
Virginia Tech at Miami Pick and Preview
The battle for the top spot in the ACC Coastal Division is on the line Thursday as Miami of Florida hosts Virginia Tech. Both teams come into the game at 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the ACC. ESPN will televise what should be an excellent Thursday night matchup.
Florida at Vanderbilt Pick and Preview
Florida will look to clinch the SEC East Division and keep impressing pollsters as they travel to Nashville on Saturday to play Vanderbilt. The Gators have defeated Vanderbilt the last 17 times the two teams have played and they are heavily favored to do so again on Saturday.
