Riots over Lakers, SHaq, and the best game 7 ever!
Last week two major championships were decided making for the end of a great week in sports. This gave me plenty to rant about and it wasn’t hard to find some quality topics. I am going to rant about how LA celebrates a title, discuss the best game seven ever and tell you why Shaq [...]
Regaw Rants June 2nd
Out of the playoffs and out of class: After getting ousted and upset by the Orlando Magic last week, Lebron James walked off the court without shaking hands with any members of the Magic. The next day he commented on it and said he walked out because he wants to win and he is a competitor. Not so fast Lebron, this move to me shows a lack of class. Your one of the more prominent stars in the NBA and with apologies to Charles Barkley, you are a role model. Everyone wants to win and some more than others, but that does not mean there is not room for sportsmanship. Walking out and not shaking hands is a sign of very poor sportsmanship and an insult to the Orlando Magic and what they have accomplished this season. When Cleveland stomped the Hawks and the Pistons, Lebron hung around to shake hands, but I am sure he wanted to win just as much then as he did when he faced Orlando. If your disappointed with a loss go in the locker room and smash a locker or scream at your teammates but there is no need for a public display of a lack of sportsmanship. I would hope that with all of the unneeded media scrutiny this will not happen again in the future, but that question remains unanswered and instead is replaced with another question. Where will King James play next year? Stay tuned for that answer.
Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers Game 6 Pick
Things have gotten much tougher for the Cleveland Cavaliers in their series against the Boston Celtics. Not only do they have to win on Friday to force a Game 7, they must do it without one of their best shooters as Daniel Gibson will miss the game with a separated shoulder. It will be up to LeBron James to lead the Cavaliers on Friday.
Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics Game 5 Pick
The Boston Celtics had the NBA’s best regular season record but in the playoffs they have looked very beatable. After winning the first two games at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Celtics lost both road games and now the series is tied 2-2. The Celtics are now 0-5 on the road in the playoffs and it has many of the players concerned.
Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers Game 4 pick
The Boston Celtics haven’t been able to win on the road in the playoffs and if that continues on Monday night their series against the Cleveland Cavaliers will be tied. The Celtics lost game three 108-84 on Saturday as they were blown out early and never recovered.
Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics Game 2 Pick
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics will both try and play better than they did in game one as the teams meet in Boston on Thursday for game two. It was an ugly game one that the Celtics won 76-72. Both teams shot the ball poorly and Cleveland’s LeBron James was a disgrace going 2 of 18 from the field.
Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers Game 5 Pick
The Cleveland Cavaliers will try and put away the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night and end the war of words. For some reason the Wizards have talked a lot of trash in the series but all it has done is motivate LeBron James to play even better.
Cleveland Cavaliers at Washington Wizards Game 3 Pick
The Cleveland Cavaliers will try and take a commanding lead in their series against the Washington Wizards on Thursday. The Cavaliers did as expected at home, winning the first two games. Now it will be up to Washington to answer. The series has been very physical so far and that may not change on Thursday.
