The Dallas Stars will try and complete the New York double as they face the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night. The Stars defeated the Rangers 2-1 on Monday as Mike Modano scored the game winner. "It was a lucky bounce," said Modano, "Those don't get old. It still gives you the idea that you can still hang around the players and play the game. I'll stick around a little longer maybe." Phoenix Coyotes at Ottawa Senators Preview
The Phoenix Coyotes get a chance to bounce back from their first loss of the season as they travel to Ottawa to face the Senators on Friday. Phoenix was beaten 4-1 on Wednesday at Chicago. “We played too easy of a game,” head coach Wayne Gretzky said. “After a period and a half, we started to cheat a little bit. If you cheat, you’re going to get beat at this level.” Friday’s game will be the first real test of the season for the young Coyotes.
Buffalo Sabres at New York Rangers 10/15/08 Pick and Preview
The New York Rangers will try and make some history on Wednesday night as they host the Buffalo Sabres. The Rangers go for their sixth straight win to start the season and if they get it they would break the record of the 1983-84 team that started 5-0. “To start the season 5-0, we didn’t expect that,” said goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. “But on the trip (to Europe) we knew we had a really good group here, and that we understand what we need to do out there on the ice. And all four lines are playing the same way, with the same commitment, which is very important.”
