College Football Betting Preview
South Florida (6-2) at Cincinnati (5-2)
Thursday, 7:45 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: South Florida  -  2.5 ,  Total  51

The Big East takes center stage on Thursday night on ESPN as the South Florida Bulls travel to Cincinnati to face the Bearcats.  The Bulls were expected to contend for the Big East title this season but with two conference losses they are almost out of the race already.  Cincinnati is not in much better shape at 1-1 in the conference. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking South Florida on the Road.

The Bulls are led by quarterback Matt Grothe who went 30-40 for 344 yards and two passing TD’s in last week’s loss to Louisville.  South Florida has not had much success against Cincinnati losing three of their five meetings all-time including the last two at Cincinnati.  The Bearcats won in 2004 and in 2006 at home against the Bulls.  The key to this game could be Cincinnati quarterback Tony Pike’s health.  He left last week’s game against Connecticut and the Bearcats fell apart after his departure, losing 40-16.

Here is a look at the College Football betting stats for Thursday’s game. The Bulls are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings against Cincinnati. The Bulls are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a loss. The Bulls are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in October. The Bulls are 0-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Bearcats are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Bearcats are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a loss. The Bearcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games. The Bearcats are 10-4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Bearcats are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games. The Bearcats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in October.

SBG Global Current Line: South Florida  -  2.5 ,  Total  50.5

The Over is 11-4-1 in the Bulls last 16 games overall. The Under is 4-1-1 in the Bulls last 6 games on turf. The Over is 7-3 in the Bulls last 10 vs. a team with a winning record. Saturday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ABC

SBG Global Opening Line: Penn State  -  1  ,  Total  45.5

First place in the Big-10 is on the line Saturday night as #10 Ohio State hosts #3 Penn State.  This game could have national title implications as the Nittany Lions don’t have anyone on their remaining schedule that stacks up to Ohio State.  The problem for Penn State is that they haven’t won at Columbus in 30 years. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Penn State on the Road.

The Nittany Lions have the talent this season to compete with Ohio State as quarterback Daryll Clark is the Big Ten’s second-highest rated passer.  Penn State has the seventh best scoring offense in the country, averaging 45.4 points per game and the Nittany Lions also has Evan Royster who leads the Big 10 in yards per carry.

On the other side, Ohio State has started to look like a national title contender since Terrelle Pryor took over at quarterback. “When Terrelle is clicking, he can do a little bit of everything,” said receiver Brian Robiskie, “He’s scary in the open field.” It also helps Ohio State that Chris “Beanie” Wells is fully healthy.  He has run for 508 yards in four games since his return from injury.

Penn State has lost 10 straight games on the road to teams ranked in the Top 25.  On the other side, Ohio State has won 12 of its last 13 conference home games against ranked opponents.  Here are more College Football betting stats for Saturday’s game.  The Nittany Lions are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Nittany Lions are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Nittany Lions are 10-4-2 ATS in their last 16 games in October. The Nittany Lions are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 conference games. The Nittany Lions are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 meetings at Ohio State.

SBG Global Current Line: Penn State  -  1  ,  Total  45.5

The Buckeyes are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games in October. The Buckeyes are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 conference games. The Buckeyes are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Buckeyes are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games. The home team is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

College Football Betting Preview
Boise State (6-0) at San Jose State (5-2)
Friday, 9:00 pm Eastern – ESPN 2

SBG Global Opening Line: Boise State  - 7 ,  Total  TBA

The Boise State Broncos will look to remain perfect on the season as they travel to San Jose State to meet the Spartans on Friday.  The Broncos have always been a team that outscored opponents with a powerful offense but this year it is the defense that is dominating.  The Broncos are third in the nation in scoring defense allowing just 10.5 points per game.  They have given up more than seven points only once all year. “Defense has been great all year, and they just step up to the challenge each week,” quarterback Kellen Moore said. “It’s fun on our side to know that they are going to get out there and take care of business.” SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Boise State  on the Road.

Head coach Chris Peterson believes that his Broncos will continue to get better as the season goes along. “We are a work in progress and we will get better,” said Petersen, “This game is so much about detail. It looks simple, but there are so many things that go along with making it work. Those kids care tremendously and they’ve very prideful and we’ll go back to work. Everybody knows the drill. It’s all about trying to get better. If we can keep that attitude, that work ethic, we’ll be OK.”  The Broncos could get a challenge on Friday from a San Jose State team that is unbeaten in the WAC.  The Spartans are only giving up 16.6 points per game.

Boise State has owned the Spartans in this series going 8-0.  San Jose Sate has also lost its last nine games against ranked opponents.  Here are more College Football betting stats for Friday’s game. The Broncos are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games on grass. The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Broncos are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Friday games. College Football Betting Preview
Auburn (4-3) at West Virginia (4-2)
Thursday, 7:45 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: West Virginia  -  3.5  ,  Total  38

Two teams that have fallen out of the national spotlight meet on Thursday night as West Virginia hosts Auburn.  The Tigers have a solid defense but no offense while West Virginia has a solid offense but no defense.  It should be an interesting contrast. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking West Virginia  at Home.

The Tigers are 9th in the country in scoring defense allowing just 13.1 points per game.  They will have to contain a West Virginia offense that is 14th in the nation in rushing at 224.8 yards per game. “It’s going to be a tremendous challenge for us on the road, trying to improve on how we’ve played and how we’ve handled certain situations,” said Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville. “It’s going to be a tough assignment, especially for us on defense playing against a Heisman Trophy candidate in Pat White, a young man from the state of Alabama that’s had a tremendous career and won a lot of football games.”

Auburn is 6-1 in Thursday night games with three straight wins. Here are more College Football betting stats for Thursday’s game.  The Tigers are 18-7 ATS in their last 25 games in October. The Tigers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 gamesoverall.

College Football Betting Preview
Hawaii (3-3) at Boise State (5-0)
Friday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: Boise State  -  24  ,  Total  51

Unbeaten Boise State will look to keep their perfect record intact as they host Hawaii on Friday night.  Last year Hawaii was able to defeat the Broncos for the WAC title but it is a much different Hawaii team this season without Colt Brennan and head coach June Jones.  The Warriors are not without talent though.  They upset Fresno State last week behind quarterback Inoke Funaki who threw two TDs and also ran for 79 yards.

“I think Inoke Funaki is outstanding,” Warriors coach Greg McMackin said. “He brings so much to the table. He creates so many problems because he’s so mobile.”

SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Boise State at Home.

Boise State has been shutting down teams this season with a defense that ranks seventh in the nation in scoring defense, allowing an average of 11.2 points. The problem for Boise State has been on offense.  They are making a lot of mistakes but so far it has not cost them any games. “Most of the mistakes we made were just mental things,” Broncos running back Ian Johnson said. “I don’t know if it was the humidity, or the food, but it seems like something got into our head. Those are some of the things that are uncharacteristic of Boise State and we are going to go work on that so those things won’t happen again.”

Here are the College Football betting stats for Friday’s game. The Warriors are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games in October. The Warriors are 17-8 ATS in their last 25 games on turf. The Warriors are 8-19 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Warriors are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Warriors are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Friday games. The Warriors are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games.

The Broncos are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games. The Broncos are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Friday games. The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games on turf. The Broncos are 38-16-1 ATS in their last 55 home games.

The Broncos are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Penn State (6-0) at Wisconsin (3-2)
Saturday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: Penn State  -  5  ,  Total  47

The Wisconsin Badgers will try and avoid starting 0-3 in the Big 10 as they host 6th ranked Penn State on Saturday night.  To get the win the Badgers will have to slow down the Big Ten’s best offense.  The Nittany Lions are averaging almost 500 yards per game, 9th best in the nation.  They are scoring 44.8 points per game which ranks 7th in the country.  Quarterback Daryll Clark has thrown 9 touchdowns with only one interception this season while running back Evan Royster has eight touchdowns this season.

“They’re a great team and they have a great quarterback, a great corps of receivers that can run,” Wisconsin cornerback Allen Langford said. “They have a great tight end and two good running backs … so they’re definitely going to be a difficult task.”
SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Penn State  on the Road.

The Badgers have not had much luck this season, losing 27-25 at Michigan and then last week 20-17 to Ohio State. “The expectations are high on this team, and we’d like them to be high,” Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema said. “And we’re five points away from being a 5-0 football team. We’ve got a tremendous challenge on our hands and an opportunity to right the ship.”

College Football Betting Preview
LSU (4-0) at Florida (4-1)
Saturday, 8:00 pm Eastern – CBS

SBG Global Opening Line: Florida  -  4  ,  Total  45.5

An intense SEC rivalry game is on tap Saturday night in Florida as the Gators host the LSU Tigers.  It is a matchup of the last two national champions and features last year’s Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow.  It is the first time in 18 years that the National Champs from the previous two seasons will meet in a regular season game.  LSU has won four of the last six meetings against Florida including two of the last three in Gainesville. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking LSU on the Road.

Last year the Tigers won 28-24 as they scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.  It won’t be any easier this season. “If you find any weaknesses, tell me,” LSU head coach Les Miles said. “They don’t have any weaknesses. Being ranked (# 11) is underselling them some. It will be our strengths against their strengths. Our team will have a real want to compete in that game. If we play like we can, I like our matchup. Make no bones about it. This game will be fun to play. The players will enjoy this one.”  The key in the game will be how well LSU stops Tebow and the Florida offense.  The Gators lead the SEC at 36 points per game, just slightly head of LSU’s 35.5 points per game.

The all-time series edge is with Florida at 28-23-3.  Here are more College Football betting stats for Saturday’s game. The Tigers are 17-8-2 ATS in their last 27 road games. The Tigers are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Tigers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games on grass. The Tigers are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 conference games. The Sooners have outscored opponents 248-69 this season. Texas is not far behind and with a win could take over the #1 spot. “It’s what these two teams should have at midseason. It’s two top-5 teams that are both playing really well,” Texas coach Mack Brown said. “We’ll have everybody in America talking about the game next week, and that’s what we want.” SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Oklahoma at Home.

College Football Betting Preview
Louisville (2-2) at Memphis (3-3)
Friday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: Louisville  -  6.5  ,  Total  57

Two teams looking to move above the .500 mark will meet Friday as Memphis hosts Louisville in a nationally televised game on ESPN.  The Cardinals enter the game at 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the Big East after losing to Connecticut almost two weeks ago by a score of 26-21.  Memphis has won three straight games after losing their first three of the season.  Last week they defeated UAB 33-30. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Louisville on the Road.

Friday’s game for Memphis is a real test. “No question. If you look at Louisville’s stats on defense, they are only giving up 70 yards a game rushing. I feel like this will probably be the best team we have played all season.” Memphis head coach Tommy West said, “They should be 3-1, but they threw a pick against Connecticut at the end of the game to lose. They are extremely good up front on both sides of the ball.”  The Tigers have been very up and down this year and that probably won’t cut it against Louisville. “We have our work cut out for us. I told our guys yesterday that we are going to have to take a step up in this game.” West said, “We aren’t going to be able to miss tackles like we have done previously and we can’t take a quarter-and-a-half to get going offensively. We are going to have to be ready to go from the beginning.”

Friday’s game will be the 41st meeting between Louisville and Memphis all-time with the Cardinals holding a 21-19 series advantage. The last time the teams met was in 2004 as Louisville won 56-49. The Cardinals are 10-11 all-time at Memphis. Here are more College Football betting stats for Friday’s game.  The
