NCAA Basketball Preview Bookmaker.com betting line – North Carolina -14 The No. 5 North Carolina Tarheels host the No. 10 Clemson Tigers tonight in Chapel Hill in a big ACC conference match-up. Clemson dropped their first loss last weekend 78-68 from the hands of No. 1 Wake Forest. North Carolina has won two games in a row after losing two in one week against Boston College and Wake Forest. The game has big aspirations for both teams in terms of ACC regular season hopes. Clemson lost their first conference game last weekend and North Carolina has already lost two. Neither team can afford anymore losses as they both trial Duke and Wake Forest who are undefeated in conference play. Clemson has the chance to gain a lot of respect among the national audience if they could pull of the win as big underdogs tonight. The Tarheels own one of the deepest and talented lineups in America lead by superstar Tyler Hansbrough. Hansbrough is sporting a strong 22.9 points and 8 rebounds per game for the season. North Carolina ranks 2nd in the nation in scoring racking up an amazing 93 points per contest. The Tarheels have also dominated the boards with 43 rebounds per game that ranks in the Top 5 in the country as well. North Carolina’s year started out very well as they seemed to be the best team in America for many weeks of the early season. However with stumbles in recent weeks, North Carolina has to get back on the right track to prove their national status. The Tarheels have won 9 straight games over the Tigers and will try to avoid their first loss from Clemson since January of 2004. The Clemson Tigers started the season with a perfect 16-0 record before their first loss last week. Clemson has averaged 80 points per game while shooting 49% as a team from the floor which both rank in the top 30 across the land. The Tigers main performer comes from that of Trevor Booker. The junior forward has been responsible for 15 points and 9 boards in every outing this season. Booker inside presence will play huge dividends for the Tigers tonight in Chapel Hill. Clemson must find a way to be effective inside the paint and then receive help from the outside shooting of Terrence Oglesby. Oglesby is shooting 41% from behind the arc and his ability to knock down the three could be what gives the Tigers hope tonight. What to watch for… Pick – Clemson keeps it close. Clemson +14
No. 10 Clemson Tigers (16-1) at No. 5 North Carolina Tarheels (16-2)
Wednesday, 9:00PM Eastern
North Carolina has not been shooting the ball near as well in the last few weeks and it should be worth considering before heading into Tonight’s match-up. The Tarheels are shooting 49% as a team on the year, but have only knocked down 39% against their last 4 ACC opponents. North Carolina must shoot the ball better against a Clemson team that can get hot from the floor.

Clemson (3-2) at Wake Forest (3-1)  SBG Global Opening Line: Wake Forest  - PK  , Total 64 The Clemson Tigers were thought of as possible National title contenders before the season began but entering Thursday’s game at Wake Forest they are just trying to stay above .500. Year after year it seems that everyone anoints Clemson as the favorite in the ACC and a team that could make a splash in the National title race, yet every year they disappoint. This year could be the biggest disappointment yet. The Tigers have already lost twice this season and if they lose on Thursday at Wake Forest, they could see their season slip away. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Wake Forest at Home. The bottom line with the Tigers is that they have lost at least four games every season since 2000. If they lose at Wake Forest they will almost be at that number of losses before the season is half over. Here are the College Football betting stats for Thursday’s game. The Tigers are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a bye week. The Tigers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a loss. The Demon Deacons are 18-6-2 ATS in their last 26 games in October. The Demon Deacons are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Demon Deacons are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games. College Picks Record: 2-0 +5units SBG Global Opening Line: Clemson - 6 , Total 46  A matchup of two Top 25 teams takes place at the Georgia Dome on Saturday as #9 Clemson takes on #24 Alabama. The Tigers are one of the favorites in the ACC this season but head coach Tommy Bowden has continually disappointed Clemson followers in recent seasons. Saturday’s opener is a major test for Bowden and Clemson after last season’s failure. “There’s always that frustration of not winning the championship. You’ll have to carry that label,” said Bowden.  SBG Global reports that early NCAA Football betting has the public taking Alabama on the Road.  The Tigers return a lot of talent this season, especially on offense. Quarterback Cullen Harper and tailbacks James Davis and C.J. Spiller lead a powerful offense. The question mark is on the offensive line where four starters must be replaced. “I think everybody’s saying, ‘Oh, they don’t deserve to be in the top 10. They always find a way to lose a game,’” Spiller said. “I think when we hold up that ACC trophy, we’ll be fine.” The Tigers also have an excellent defense but they do have to replace all four linebackers. Last season the Tigers finished in the Top 10 in scoring defense and total defense. Freshman Da’Quan Bowers is expected to make an immediate impact.  Alabama finished last season at 7-6 under Nick Saban but they have a very highly touted recruiting class and much is expected from the Crimson Tide this season. Receivers Julio Jones and B.J. Scott are expected to contribute right away. “They’re good. They’re really good,” quarterback John Parker Wilson said. “Julio’s going to make some big plays this year. He can go up and get it. He can run by guys.” The Tide returns only five starters on defense so that could be a concern.  Here are the NCAA Football betting stats for Saturday’s game. The Tide leads the all-time series with Clemson 11-3 although the teams haven’t met since 1975. The Crimson Tide are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games. The Crimson Tide are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall.  The Tigers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games. The Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. the SEC.  The Under is 13-6 in Alabama’s last 19 non-conference games. The Under is 6-1 in the Tigers last 7 vs. the SEC. The Under is 12-5 in the Tigers last 17 non-conference games. Pick: Alabama 2units
