There’s a big showdown in the Big XII on Wednesday night in Waco, and college basketball betting fanatics surely won’t want to miss this one! The Baylor Bears will play host to the Texas A&M Aggies with conference bragging rights on the line. With just two weeks to play in the regular season, A&M is tied with Missouri for third place in the Big XII at 8-4 in conference play. Baylor is just a game behind at 7-5, and if it has hopes of getting a bye in the first round of the conference tourney, a win tonight is incredibly important. In terms of March Madness, both teams look good and should be in regardless of what happens the rest of the way, but both would much rather see another notch or two in the win column just to feel save about getting out their dancing shoes. The Aggies have covered six straight NCAA basketball spreads since losing at Oklahoma State on January 27th. They’re 5-1 SU in those games, with the one loss coming by just five points to the #1 team in the country. The defense has been absolutely stifling of late, holding Iowa State, Kansas, and Texas Tech to an average of just 60.0 points per game in this three-game stretch. G Donald Brown leads the team in scoring at 18.0 points per game, but he hasn’t played up to his average once in the L/3 games. The Bears haven’t had much luck of late trying to beat the basketball betting lines. They’re just 1-4 ATS in their L/5 in spite of a 3-2 SU record. Leading scorer, G LaceDarius Dunn has lit up the Big XII this year, scoring 18.9 points per game. Baylor’s defense ranks ninth in the country in opposing field goal percentage at just 37.9%. For an offense that is scoring 77.1 points per game and shooting 48.4% from the floor, one would like to think that its record should be significantly better than 20-6. Just three weeks ago, A&M knocked off the Bears 78-71 at home. As proof for just how important home court advantage is in college basketball, Baylor was +2 in that game and -7 now. The insinuation by the oddsmakers is that the Bears have the better team in this matchup, but that may not necessarily be the case. The Aggies feel like they’re the team in better form at this point, and even though grabbing an SU victory in Waco may be difficult, staying inside the touchdown spread shouldn’t be. Selection: Texas A&M Aggies Texas A&M is one of the best betting teams in the country on the road over a very long haul. The Aggies are 41-19 ATS in their L/60 roadies. The underdog is 11-2 ATS in the L/13 meetings of these Big XII rivals. Diamond Sportsbook currently has a college basketball betting line of the Aggies +7 for you to dig into right now!
