Something has to give on Monday Night Football betting action this week, as the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers need to try to bust their respective slumps. The winner of this game will probably be just one game back in the NFC West remarkably, while the loser is going to be in the gutter and probably out of postseason contention once and for all.

A few weeks ago, the Seattle Seahawks used home field advantage to the fullest, knocking off the Arizona Cardinals to claim the lead in the NFC West. The roles are reversed this week, as the Redbirds can get back on top if they can beat the NFL odds and win this crucial divisional tussle on Sunday afternoon.

At the outset of the season, you probably wouldn’t think that the clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Arizona Cardinals meant all that much. However, if the postseason started today, the Bucs would be in, while the Cardinals would only be a half game out. This NFL betting affair in the desert has some high stakes on Halloween afternoon.

It wasn’t all that long ago that the Seattle Seahawks were the dominating team in the NFC West and the Arizona Cardinals were the team playing the role of the chaser. Of course, it also wasn’t that long ago that those roles were reversed. Now though, this is a crucial tilt between two very evenly matched teams that are humbled to be playing for first play in the division here in Week 7 NFL betting action.

The Arizona Cardinals (1-0) and Atlanta Falcons (0-1) will square off for the first time since the 2009 playoffs when they meet in Week 2 of the regular season on Sunday. The Falcons (-6.5 @ Diamond Sportsbook) will have the advantage of an older, wiser Matt Ryan this time around though since he was a rookie the last time these teams met while the Cardinals will have a new quarterback in Derek Anderson, who replaces Kurt Warner.
