The Roanoke Times (Roanoke, VA) January 13, 2006 Huntington Learning Center offers homework workshop If homework is a problem at your house, you are invited to a free workshop being offered next week to parents of students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Huntington Learning Center is offering Homework: A Parent’s Survival Guide at three different locations:
n 6 p.m. Tuesday. Raleigh Court Branch Roanoke Public Library, 2112 Grandin Road. go to site huntington learning center
n 6 p.m. Wednesday. Fincastle Branch Botetourt County Public Library, 11 Academy St., Fincastle.
n 6 p.m. Thursday. Roanoke County Public Library, 3131 Electric Road.
The workshop will address what to do if your child’s homework is not getting done, is taking too long, becomes a battle, is not brought home, is done poorly or is not turned in. in our site huntington learning center
Parents will learn how much homework students should have, how to deal with distractions, how to set expectations and how to teach children to budget their time.
