New England (9-2 SU, 6-4-1 ATS) and the Jets (9-2 SU, 7-4 ATS) are both coming off Thanksgiving wins and have had 10 days to rest. The first meeting between the teams came in Week 2 and New York scored 21 unanswered points to win 28-14.
One interesting aspect is the home and away. New England is 5-0 SU (2-2-1 ATS) at home. They last beat Indianapolis there 31-28. The Jets are 5-0 SU (4-1 ATS) on the road. The last two were fortunate overtime wins at Cleveland and Detroit.
New England is a 3 ½-point home favorite.
The Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3 SU, 6-5 ATS) at the Baltimore Ravens (8-3 SU, 5-5-1 ATS) is another great game on Sunday night. The winner will move into sole possession of first place in the AFC North. Baltimore won the first meeting 17-14, but quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was still suspended. The Ravens are three-point ‘chalk.’
Atlanta (9-2 SU, 7-4 ATS) looks like the NFC’s best team and are at Tampa Bay this Sunday. The Buccaneers (7-4 SU, 8-3 ATS) are fighting for a wild-card and are the NFL’s best ATS team, covering five straight. Tampa lost at Baltimore last week 17-10, but beat the number as 7 ½-point ‘dogs. Atlanta is three-point ‘chalk’ this week.
Remember that the week starts Thursday with Houston (5-6 SU, 5-6 ATS) visiting Philadelphia (7-4 SU, 5-6 ATS). The Eagles are now tied with the Giants in the NFC East after losing at Chicago (31-26) last week. Houston broke a four-game losing streak with a 20-0 home win over Tennessee. The Eagles are solid 8 ½-point favorites.
