NBA Sports Betting Picks: San Antonio Spurs at Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets host arguably the best team in basketball when they welcome the San Antonio Spurs to town. Diamond Sportsbook International (DSI) has the NBA covered with the latest odds and wagering opportunities on every game. This game will be featured as the second game of an NBA doubleheader on TNT.

The Spurs have always been considered NBA title contenders with the talent they have on their team, but few protected they would do this well in the early season. The Spurs seem to be clicking early and putting together multiple win streaks in the early part of the NBA season. The Spurs have the most wins in the NBA and were the first team to achieve 20 wins on the season.

The Spurs are anchored by their all-star center, Tim Duncan who recently played in his 1,000th career regular-season game. George Hill has been a pleasant surprise for this team and has blended in well with Tony Parker and the rest of the Spurs talented core. Although they are one of the best teams in basketball, on Thursday they will be playing in one of the toughest places to play, in Denver.

The Nuggets have been a force at home this year and boast a winning record, but their news off the court is what’s getting more attention in Denver.

Carmelo Anthony is still in the center of a media firestorm that will not slow down until he is traded or signs an extension. The Anthony trade speciation to the New York Knicks refuses to die and will only get strong as the trade deadline approaches.  While this is a distortion to the team, now they have to find a way to deal with injuries.

Point guard Chauncey Billups aggravated his sprained right wrist and his status will be up in the air for the game against the Spurs. Billups is a key contributor to this team and is a floor general that is known for making the big shot. If Billiups is unable to go, it could allow Parker to have a good night on the floor.

The Nuggets are 6-17-3 ATS in their last 26 games playing on 1 days rest and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight home games. The Spurs are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games as a road favorite of 0.5-4.5 and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 against the NBA Northwest.
