NBA Sports Betting Picks: Chicago Bulls at Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets started the season off slow but return home to host the Chicago Bulls with a two game winning streak.  Diamond Sportsbook International (DSI) has the latest NBA betting odds and has posted the Rockets as slim 1.5 point favorites for this game.

The Rockets got back on the winning track by spreading the ball around and playing sound defense. In the last win against the Knicks, they passed well throughout the game, finishing with a season-high 28 assists on their 36 field goals. That play was contagious and the Rockets played well on both sides of the floor. Against the Knicks, they allowed just nine offensive rebounds and just six second-chance points. If they want to continue winning they will have to play just as tough against the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls enter this game riding a three game winning streak. Point guard Derrick Rose is the explosive leader of this team and was recently names Eastern Conference player of the week. Rose averaged 21.3 points in leading the Bulls to a 3-0 record last week and will look to keep the Bulls on the winning path during the upcoming six game road trip that spans over the next two weeks.

The Bulls are 12-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 16 games against the NBA Southwest, and thrive in the role of a road underdog. The Bulls are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as a road underdog and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5. The Bulls dominate teams with a losing record as they are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games against a team with a losing record and 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Houston.

Meanwhile the Rockets are 5-17 ATS in their last 22 games as a home favorite and 8-21 ATS in their last 29 home games. They are 9-19 ATS in their last 28 against the Eastern Conference and 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games following a win.

The Rockets are playing much better basketball but are not ready to run with the Bulls.
