No. 8 Nebraska (-3) at Washington – Saturday 3:30 pm ET

Nebraska (2-0 SU) has had a couple of tune-up games against Western Kentucky and Idaho, but is just 0-1-1 ATS. Quarterback Taylor Martinez has gone well over 100 yards rushing in each of the first two games. There are also running backs Roy Helu Jr and Rex Burkhead to deal with.

Washington (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) has a Heisman Trophy candidate in quarterback Jake Locker. He threw for 266 yards in a loss at BYU and 289 last week in a home win against Syracuse. The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games.

No. 10 Florida (-14) at Tennessee – Saturday 3:30 pm ET

This is the SEC opener for both teams. Florida is 5-0 SU (3-2 ATS) in the last five meetings between the teams. The ‘under’ has gone 4-1.

Tennessee (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) is coming off a 48-13 home loss to Oregon. That’s not what new coach Derek Dooley was looking for. The Vols actually led 13-3 and it was only 13-13 at halftime. Running back Tauren Poole needs to have another big game to keep the Florida defense on the sidelines.

Florida is 2-0 SU (1-1 ATS) so far in the post Tim Tebow era. John Brantley is under as much pressure as any quarterback in the country. He hasn’t been great and needs to become more comfortable in the pocket. The Florida defense is inexperienced, but very talented.

No. 6 Texas (-3 ½) at Texas Tech – Saturday 8 pm ET

These teams have had some real battles the last few years. Texas Tech beat Texas in 2008 and has ‘covered’ the last two. Texas Tech is 2-0 SU (1-1 ATS) under new coach Tommy Tuberville. Quarterback Taylor Potts is off to a great start with seven TDs and no picks.

Texas (2-0 SU, 0-2 ATS) is still trying to get over last year’s national title loss to Alabama. Gone is quarterback Colt McCoy, with Garrett Gilbert trying to fill his immense shoes. The Longhorns are showing better balance on offense this year and need to stick with that game plan. An upset is not out of the question.

on the wall path; Blow away the cobwebs with a walk along Hadrian’s Wall.

The Mail on Sunday (London, England) September 28, 2003 Byline: WENDY GOMERSALL Let’s face it, few of us are fit enough to walk the whole 84-mile unbroken length of the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail. But with comfortable guesthouses and b&bs available along the route, it’s easy to pick and choose smaller chunks depending on what you want to see – and how far your legs can carry you. (There is a Hadrian’s Wall bus for the lily-livered). Most of these b&bs will provide transport to the nearest pub if they don’t provide evening meals, and some will supply packed lunches Hadrian’s Wall is a World Heritage Site. The trail runs from coast to coast and takes in the cities of Carlisle and Newcastle. It also crosses some of Britain’s most picturesque countryside, from carpets of green fields to pure, rugged moors – it’s the perfect place to blow off the cobwebs and get some fresh air into your lungs. in our site hadrian s wall
