Bookie Picks 12/23

Hey All – Its the “retired bookie” coming at ya. BTB and I go way back. He actually started his gambling thru me so I had a bunch of years of profitability from him until he learned a thing or two. Now we remain good friends and he has asked me to give a couple picks daily so I will be doing it right here in the blog for now. My write-ups will be thoughts, analytics for some content but the picks go much deeper and I cant write all that much. So excuse the grammar problems and any of that nonsense and lets just win… I will re-post this opening paragraph along with my record each day!

@10:45 Miami (21-9) at Phoenix (13-14)

Miami’s 12 game winning streak went down in flames courtesy of the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. The Miami Heat will try to start another hot streak as they take on a disorientated Phoenix Sun team with Steve Nash’s personal life in complete turmoil. The Heat remain 1 of the hottest team in the National Basketball Association winning 12 of their last 13 games and scoring over 100 points 7 out of their last 12 times. Defensively, Miami has held their opponent to shooting 41.6% from the floor in their last 5 match-ups.

The Phoenix Suns will insert 2 of their 3 new players in their lineup tonight and should get more firepower immediately. In their last 5 games, Phoenix has been averaging 111.4 points per contest.

Pick: Over 208
