Opening Line: Rockets PK , Total 185.5
The Houston Rockets are hoping the All-Star break doesn’t slow them down. Houston has won eight straight and will try and make it nine at Cleveland on Tuesday night. Houston sits in 7th place in the Western Conference only 4.5 games back of the conference leaders but tied with Golden State and Denver for seventh overall. SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Rockets on the Road.
The Rockets defeated the Cavaliers earlier this month 92-77 but that was when the Cavaliers were injured. Drew Gooden and Daniel Gibson missed that game. The Cavaliers are led by LeBron James who leads the league in scoring at 30.3 points per game. James won the MVP award in the All-Star game and is the favorite to win the MVP in the NBA this season. James is averaging 32 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7 assists in his last two meetings with Houston.
SBG Global Current Line: Rockets - 1.5 , Total 185.5
Cleveland has lost two straight at home including last Wednesday’s 112-105 loss to San Antonio. James had 39 points in the loss. He will match up with Houston’s Tracy McGrady who has given the Rockets a serious boost since returning from injury. The Rockets are 24-13 with McGrady in the lineup and 8-7 without him this season. The Rockets are also getting excellent play out of All-Star center Yao Ming. He is averaging 22.6 points and 11.3 rebounds during the win streak. The Rockets also have a road winning streak in place. They have won eight straight on the road, the second longest streak in their history.
