The Denver Nuggets are trying to stay in the playoff hunt and have a key game at home against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. The Nuggets were blown out 103-89 on Sunday by the Houston Rockets and must bounce back on Wednesday. Allen Iverson did not play well finishing with just 17 points on a poor shooting night. Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets with 19 points.
SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Nuggets at Home.
Phoenix comes into Wednesday’s game struggling as much as Denver. The Suns have not played well since getting Shaq from Miami. The Suns are having difficulty with their new system. “We’ve changed everything we are doing,” the Suns Steve Nash said, “It used to be me trying to make plays for everyone. Now it’s not the same when we’re running pick-and rolls with Shaq. It will take and I’m probably going to make a lot of mistakes until we figure this out but that’s my job and it’s not an easy one.” The Suns are also not playing defense and opponents are picking them apart. “We’re not a lock-down, grind-it-out team and we never will be,” said coach Mike D’Antoni, “But individually, we’re just not playing and the tension … every shot we take; I’m holding my breath (saying) ‘I hope we make it.’
“We just have to play, and I’m as responsible for being as uptight as the players.” Phoenix faces a tough situation on Wednesday as they were playing in Portland last night.
