The Houston Rockets will look to win their 23rd straight game on Tuesday as they host the team with the best record in the NBA, the Boston Celtics. The Rockets may be catching a little bit of a break as Boston had to play in San Antonio last night. Houston currently has the 2nd longest winning streak in NBA history and continues to win in many different ways. The Rockets rely upon Tracy McGrady but other players have contributed during the winning streak. "That's the makeup of our team," McGrady said. "There are going to be some nights where I'm going to be off and there are going to be nights where Rafer picks up the slack and Bobby picks up the slack. We have multiple guys that can pick up the slack. It's a good thing to have so that teams just can't key on me." SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Rockets at Home.
The Rockets got support from other players on Sunday in their win over the Lakers. McGrady had just 11 points but Alston stepped up and had a career-high 31 points while Jackson added 19 points. "I thought Tracy had as poor a game as he's had all season," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "I think that shows how good their team really is." The Rockets will be tested by a Boston defense that is allowing only 87.7 points per game. "We have to move the ball extremely well against Boston," Jackson said. "We can't keep the ball on one side of the floor because they do a great job of keeping the ball out of the paint. If we don't move the ball against them, we're going to struggle."
