Opening Line: Yankees -200 , Total 10 Flat

The New York Yankees will try and even their best of five series against the Cleveland Indians tonight. The Yankees lost the first two games of the series but bounced back with an 8-4 win last night. New York is playing for the job of manager Joe Torre who owner George Steinbrenner said will be fired if the Yankees lose this series. "We know what we have to do. We know who's the boss around here, and we know how much we love Joe Torre,” said center fielder Johnny Damon, "We all love Joe Torre, and we would love for him to win another championship. I think Joe Torre is a guy who commands a lot of respect. He's meant so much to the Yankee organization. And, you know, we get to play for him at least another day and, hopefully, longer.” SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favored Yankees at Home.

New York goes with game one starter Chien-Ming Wang who was 19-7 with a 3.70 ERA during the regular season but was hit hard in game one giving up eight runs and nine hits. "I'm not afraid of Wang pitching against Cleveland again," Torre said, "He didn't pitch his game tonight. You know, you win 19 games in this league, you certainly earn it. I'm certainly not going to shy away from him pitching again." Cleveland counters with Paul Byrd who has not pitched well in his career against the Yankees. He has not defeated the Yankees since his first career start against them in 1999, going 0-4 with a 4.87 ERA in seven starts. He has also not pitched well of late going 1-3 with a 6.83 ERA in his last five starts.
