Opening Line: Red Sox -115, Total 8.5 Flat
The Boston Red Sox are facing a must win game on Thursday night in Cleveland as they are down 3-1 in the American League Championship Series against the Indians. Josh Beckett gets the start for Boston while Cleveland looks to clinch with C.C. Sabathia. It is a rematch of the opening game of the series that Boston won. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favorite Red Sox on the Road.
"I didn't even give us a chance the other day," Sabathia said. "I look to stay calm and stay in control and not try to overthrow and do so much and I think I'll be fine." The Indians lost that opener with Sabathia but have won three straight since. They scored seven runs in the 11th inning in Game 2, and another seven in the fifth inning in Game #4 as they won 7-3. "We just got hot at the right time," Sabathia said. "It doesn't matter how you play during the season. It matters how well you're playing right now."
The Red Sox need to come up with some offense if they expect to take this series back to Boston. "We've been in this situation before. We've got nothing to lose," Boston’s Manny Ramirez said, "Why should we panic? We've got a great team. If it doesn't happen, we come next year and try to do it again."
